Guarantee Conditions
for Urban/Tour Tyre Models
This document sets out the guarantee conditions (the “ContiGarant”) for our Urban/Tour tyre models with puncture protection level 6-8 supplied under the Continental brand (the “Tyres”). For the avoidance of doubt, the ContiGarant does not apply to any other tyre model than the ones mentioned specifically in the ContiGarant
The ContiGarant is provided by Continental Reifen Deutschland GmbH, Continental-Plaza 1, 30175, Hannover, Deutschland (“we” “our”, “us” and “Continental”) to the person purchasing the Tyres (“you”).
If a claim is to be made under the ContiGarant it must be made by you. The guarantee is provided to the person purchasing the Tyres, and not to any other person. If Tyres are purchased from another person other than us, or if they are purchased with a vehicle from someone other than us, then if there is an issue with the Tyres this must be raised with that other person, not us.
1. Overview of the guarantee
The ContiGarant is provided at no additional cost to you as a free benefit when you purchase Tyres either online or at participating stores. For the avoidance of doubt this guarantee will not apply to Tyres which are not purchased online or at a non-participating store. A list of participating stores can be located at www.continental-tires.com/where-to-buy
You will find additional details in the following items. Any variations to the ContiGarant must be made in writing and only bind us if signed by an authorised officer of Continental
ContiGarant is an additional benefit that Continental provides voluntarily at no charge and in accordance with these conditions when you purchase Tyres. This does not restrict your statutory rights in respect of the Tyres, such as warranty rights or product liability rights in the event of defects – the ContiGarant is additional to your rights.
If the conditions for ContiGarant are met and you assert a valid claim according to and under these conditions during the guarantee period (set out below in paragraph 8), we shall at our sole discretion either replace the Tyres, repair the Tyres or pay you the reasonable costs of replacing the Tyres subject to the claim and as set out in paragraph 11, and in addition pay you a service fee (as set out in paragraph 11) – without complications – as further set out below.
2. Program changes
To benefit from the ContiGarant you must register the Tyres you have purchased. During registration you will receive a copy of the ContiGarant.
Continental may change the terms of the ContiGarant at any time (those changes taking effect from then on) or discontinue it at any time. In the event you have already registered Tyres for ContiGarant, the ContiGarant will continue to apply for the specific Tyres that was valid at the time of registration.
3. Guarantee requirements
The benefits of the ContiGarant are conditional upon:
- you and the Tyres having been completely and duly registered on the guarantee website located at www.contigarant.com/uk
- the relevant, proper invoice for the specific Tyres purchased having been provided as part of that, within 14 days of the date of purchase and within the promotional period (as set out in paragraph 7 below);
- you having a valid ContiGarant guarantee claim within the guarantee period set out below, and
- there are no grounds for exclusion or restriction set out in these conditions which apply save but, as detailed above.
4. Guaranteed persons
Only (i) end users who (ii) purchase guaranteed Tyres new, (iii) as the original buyer, and (iv) who reside in the United Kingdom at the time of registration of the Tyres are entitled to benefit from the ContiGarant.
People who are involved with ContiGarant, are the organisers of ContiGarant, and people who are directly connected with those people, including their siblings, and their husband or wife, and other closely related people (being direct family members) are excluded from participating.
Where a person has enjoyed benefits of the ContiGarant but is later found to be an excluded person or otherwise not entitled to those benefits, then we may charge (and the person must pay) the sums normally due for any replacement Tyres provided.

Any alternatives to the above benefits are excluded.
Any payments to you will be made by bank transfer from an external service provider on behalf of Continental. For this purpose, you must provide the external service provider with your bank details (IBAN and BIC).
Where we pay you the costs of obtaining a replacement Tyre, we will pay you up to the value of the original price you paid for the relevant Tyre.
A claim under the ContiGarant is limited to no more than four Tyres per person.
A claim may be asserted against ContiGarant only once in connection with a Tyre. This does not restrict your rights under applicable law.
